In just 2 weeks we will enter the Black Friday or Black Week period (and in some places we are already in the Black Month period), i.e. the peak of online sales of the year.

Consumers count on discounts, and sellers will respond to their expectations. According to data of Tpay (https://lnkd.in/dknx69JR) in 2023, the turnover of sellers in Poland increased by 116% on Black Friday and 43% on Cyber Monday. The number of transactions, e.g. in the fashion industry, increased by 101%, in the RTV, household appliances, electronics industry by 84%, and in the Health category by 50%. The value of baskets also increased.

What does this mean for the logistics industry? Of course, also the shipping peak. And also "of course", this is nothing new, the pattern repeats itself every year - which does not change the fact that it is a challenge that needs to be prepared for. We will watch with interest how the logistics industry will meet customer challenges this year. And speaking of customers - let's be understanding and accept this potentially slightly longer order fulfillment period during this period 🙂
