Krzysztof Chaładyn, Prezes Otimo sp. z o.o. był nie tylko aktywny w kuluarach (jak zwykle ), ale uczestnicy targów mieli również okazję go posłuchać. Krzysztof wziął bowiem udział w będącej częścią targów konferencji – Warehouse Logistics Conference (organizowanej przez Piotr Susz and Locura Consulting). Jej drugiego dnia (29.01.2025) występował najpierw w roli panelisty w dyskusji na temat “Projektowanie Magazynów: trendy i innowacje”, a następnie zaprezentował prelekcję pod tytułem “Technologie wspierające zarządzanie łańcuchem dostaw. Prezentacja innowacyjnych narzędzi i systemów wspierających zarządzanie łańcuchem dostaw.”

This unique event, organized by Bogusław Gnat / LUCA Logistic Solutions in cooperation e.g.. from Politechnika Opolska, as the name suggests, did not focus only on the presentation of products or services, but also touched on a very important aspect of cooperation between the world of science and business. The conference program was very interesting, and we can safely say that the event started with a bang, because one of the first speeches was... a collaboration Otimo sp. z o.o. and Inovatica AGV, titled “Optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) in logistics.” During it Krzysztof Chaładyn, Vice President of Otimo and Bogumil Zieba, President of Inovatica AGV, talked about how optimization algorithms and artificial intelligence contribute to increasing efficiency, operational efficiency and reducing logistics costs.

Modern technologies like IoT and RFID identification are revolutionizing goods monitoring and localization. Cloud-based warehouse management systems and data analytics enable process optimization. An ecological approach is gaining importance, driving energy-efficient solutions and sustainable transport. The fusion of these trends creates a competitive edge in a global context.

The panel "Automation and Robotization" ending the 19th CEE Warehouse and Logistics Conference was full of interesting insights, different points of view and ambitious plans. It was very interesting and inspiring. Thank you all and see you next year!

The disputatious panel title marks an attempt to answer the question about the different dimensions of optimisation, its importance in logistics and elsewhere, and more specifically to reflect critically on the consequences of optimisation. After all, when we view optimisation as an effort to increase productivity and efficiency, we can optimise everything, not just logistics. And optimisation in logistics is not only faster delivery, and a more efficient warehouse, but also a better IT system, or a more competitive business location. How to maintain and even increase the quality of services while operating under time pressure, and at the same time not negatively impact the environment? Is automation, which in people’s minds is inseparable from redundancies, the answer?

Modernlog is one of the largest trade fairs in Poland, held regularly, every year in June. It is undoubtedly an event that both exhibitors and thousands of visitors have a permanent place in their calendar. This year, our local, thriving cluster LODZistics Logistic Business Network of Central Poland also appeared with its stand. And as part of it, representatives of LODZistics, including Otimo, had the opportunity to present themselves.

Krzysztof Chaładyn, representing Otimo, could be met at the cluster's stand, as well as during meetings accompanying the fair. Our conversations show that everyone present at this year's Modernlog emphasized the good organization, great representation of exhibitors and high-class accompanying events. See you next year!

What are the main trends, methods and areas where the use of AI algorithms is the most beneficial to manufacturing plants? What are the technological requirements and best market practices for implementing AI in manufacturing? Will AI replace people - what will the labor market look like and will managers still be needed? These are just some of the topics that were discussed. We started the panel with a brief overview of the types of AI that are used in industry, along with a discussion of their capabilities. We then discussed what real problems of manufacturing plants can be solved by implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence. We also wondered together whether it is actually time to monetize AI and - more broadly – algorithms. Then we moved on to tips on how to actually take the first step toward implementing AI in an industrial setting.

With the fever that ChatGPT has recently caused, it is hard to find a more topical subject. The panel therefore attracted a lot of attention and was full of interesting information and advice. For our part, we would like to thank the organizers for inviting Otimo to the expert panel and all the participants for the extremely interesting discussions!
